FFL Rules and Regulations
League Structure
- Number of Teams: 32
- Regular Season Duration: Weeks 1-17 of the NFL season
- Playoff Duration: Weeks 18-21 of the NFL season
Regular Season
- Matchups: Your fantasy team will mirror the exact schedule of your NFL team, taking on the same opponents in thrilling head-to-head matchups each week! And when your NFL team gets a well-deserved bye week, your fantasy team will enjoy a break too!
- Scoring: With our thrilling and revolutionary fantasy football scoring system, you'll be in the game every week! Customizations ensure even the last-place team stays competitive until the very end, guaranteeing an exhilarating experience every single matchup!
- Standings: Determined by win-loss record. Tiebreakers include points scored, head-to-head record, and divisional record.
Playoffs
- Teams: 14 teams qualify for the playoffs.
- Seeding: Teams are seeded based on regular season standings, with tiebreakers applied as needed.
- Format: Single-elimination tournament.
- Round 1: 14 teams (7 matchups), top 2 seeds receive a bye
- Quarterfinals: 8 teams (4 matchups)
- Semifinals: 4 teams (2 matchups)
- Championship and Consolation: Two teams will compete for the championship, but here’s the cool part: there's also a second league running at the same time—your main league. This way, you stay involved and excited until the very end because you're actually playing in two leagues at once! The second league kicks off its playoffs from weeks 12 to 17, adding even more excitement as you navigate both leagues simultaneously! Double the action, double the fun, and everyone stays in the game!
- New Draft Participation: All 14 playoff teams will participate in the new draft.
Second Draft (Post-Week 17)
- Player Transactions: Owners can drop and pick up any available players during the draft.
- Timing: The second draft takes place immediately after Week 17 of the NFL season, before the playoffs begin.
- Order: Draft order is determined by regular season standings, with the lowest-ranked playoff team picking first and the highest-ranked playoff team picking last.
- Roster Composition: Teams will draft from a pool of all available NFL players, including those on playoff teams.
- Roster Limits: Each team can draft a specified number of players (e.g., 5-7 players) to add to their playoff roster.
- Player Retention: Teams can keep a specified number of players from their regular season roster (e.g., 5-7 players) and must drop others to make room for drafted players.
Free Agency and Waivers
- Free Agency: Open after the second draft until the playoffs begin.
- Waiver Wire: Operates on a rolling basis, with the waiver order resetting each week based on playoff seeding.
Scoring Adjustments
- Playoff Scoring: Points scored by players during the NFL playoffs count towards fantasy matchups.
- Bonus Points: Consider implementing bonus points for players who perform exceptionally well in playoff games (e.g., additional points for 100+ yard rushing games, multi-touchdown games, etc.).
Trades
- Trade Deadline: Regular season trade deadline is Week 12.
- Playoff Trades: No trades are allowed after the second draft to maintain competitive balance.
Prizes and Awards
- Championship Prize: Award for the team that wins the playoff championship.
- Consolation Prize: Award for the team that wins the third-place matchup.
